BMW is set to unveil their eco-friendly car at the Frankfurt Motor Show in a couple of weeks. It’s an ultra-efficient turbo diesel engine and two electric motors that combined to make the most environmental friendly sports cars.
The car will come up with plug-in system that can take the car for 30 miles on a charge of 2.5 hours. The engine is 1.5 liter turbo diesel as green on the outside, and placement in the back line allows for very low front end that makes it more aerodynamic, which offers a significantly reduced resistance. Furthermore, the upcoming concept car has been created with super light material and battery chemistry that allows less battery weight. Of course, the lighter cars that consume less fuel.
Although the vehicle can run on electric power only, not an electric it isn’t an extended-range electric car like the Volt. Not only does the turbo-diesel can recharge the battery, it can also be used to power the wheels.
It’s a good sign that the luxury car company like BMW adopts this technology to work in classy cars, Hopefully there among you who can buy the car as they become available, which to be honest, maybe never. But it is still worth looking.
