Determined to not giving a chance even a bit to AMD. A while ago intel released a new processor to rival the triple core Phenom CPU, the ultimate gun from its competitor.

Scheduled to hit market in the third quarter this year, the E5000 series which is built using 45nm manufacture technology and dual core genre. The product intended to replace the E2000 series which based on old version of core Allendale 65nm. What new features do the new series bring? The E5000 series will adopt dual core WOlfdale that’s been released previously. Besides that, this brand new CPU will also perform TDP 65W level and clock speed 2.5Ghz. Rumors said that Intel’s going to put on the market for $84.

Along with the dual core E5000, Intel also planned to launch quad core series called Q8800. Just like the E5000, the quad core product is aimed to rival the triple core AMD CPU. The features are pretty cool, with FSB level up to 1333MHz, L cache 4MB, and the core frequency 2.33GHz. The price tag will be around $200 per one thousand units. Unfortunately, either E5000 or Q8800 doesn’t have VT and TXT – so we may predict that the performance won’t be as good as intel’s other product. Anyway, let’s just wait and see.
