This tutorial is relevant up to version 1.1.4 and for 8GB / 16 GB
Ingredients you’ll need to prepare:
- Learn about DFU Mode
- Learn how to restore from DFU Mode
- Download the ultimate application for activation, jailbreaking and unlocking
For PC please use : ZiPhone
http://files.ziphone.org/ZiPhoneWin-3.0.exe
For Mac please use :iJailbreak / ZiPhone
http://files.ziphone.org/ZiPhoneOSX-3.0.dmg
http://ijailbreak.googlecode.com/files/iJailBreak0.5.4.zip
Here we go :
- New iPhone
Please connect iPhone to PC/Mac, then execute Ziphone / iJailbreak.
Select Activate, Jailbreak or Unlock or just Do it All… - Old iPhone with some trouble (not the hardware)
- Put iPhone in DFU mode
- Connect iPhone to PC/Mac
- restore iPhone with iTunes to version 1.1.4
- Once you’ve finished, shutdown the iTunes
- Run Ziphone/iJailbreak
