This tutorial is relevant up to version 1.1.4 and for 8GB / 16 GB

Ingredients you’ll need to prepare:

  • Learn about DFU Mode
  • Learn how to restore from DFU Mode
  • Download the ultimate application for activation, jailbreaking and unlocking
    For PC please use : ZiPhone
    http://files.ziphone.org/ZiPhoneWin-3.0.exe
    For Mac please use :iJailbreak / ZiPhone
    http://files.ziphone.org/ZiPhoneOSX-3.0.dmg
    http://ijailbreak.googlecode.com/files/iJailBreak0.5.4.zip

Here we go :

  • New iPhone
    Please connect iPhone to PC/Mac, then execute Ziphone / iJailbreak.
    Select Activate, Jailbreak or Unlock or just Do it All…
  • Old iPhone with some trouble (not the hardware)
    1. Put iPhone in DFU mode
    2. Connect iPhone to PC/Mac
    3. restore iPhone with iTunes to version 1.1.4
    4. Once you’ve finished, shutdown the iTunes
    5. Run Ziphone/iJailbreak
