The Competition in the smartphone market between Apple iPhone and RIMs Blackberry is getting hotter. However, when we’re talking about durability, which one is better?

Based on the study of SquareTrade, an independent warranty services company, Blackberry is stated to have doubled level of damage from the iPhone in the first year of use.

In this study, SquareTrade examined about 15,000 handsets that the company handled. Revealed that in the first year, 5.6 percent of iPhone users reported malfunctions. Meanwhile, for the Blackberry, the figure reached 11.9 percent.

As for the other popular smartphone that circulate in the United States, let’s say Treo, a percentage is even worse, that is, 16.2 percent of users reported damage in the first year of use.

The damage of iPhone handsets often associated with the touchscreen covering a third of all damage reported.
