iPhone’s DFU Mode (Device Firmware Upgrade)
DFU mode is an emergency mode that enables iPhone or iPod to be rewritten

here’s how:

  1. Plug iPhone to USB and activate iTunes

  2. Prepare to count in seconds…, start from the following process

  3. Push and hold Home button (front) and Power button (top) together…hold for 10 seconds

  4. release the Power button but keep holding the Home button for about 10 seconds

  5. release Home button, Now the iTunes should detects iPhone in DFU Mode / Recovery Mode
