Obama Uses iPhone

Barack Obama increasingly asserts his position as the most Technology savvy Candidate. He took advantages of the popular IPhone applications to build support.

The Obama’08 applications includes many features that can be used for supporting Obama. This includes activities to local campaigns, search headquarters’ Obama for America ‘and access to images and video campaign.

According to the BBC, the most interesting features is the ‘Call Friends’. This feature is believed to help Obama get more support since it helps his supporter in organizing and contacting the voters.

The software is available for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Some says that the application is developed by Obama’s supporter in approximately three weeks.

Barack Obama’s official campaign blogs mentioned that Call Friends features, will generate thousands of contacts that can be expected to vote for Obama. “With only 33 days before the election, the more important to contact your brother and friend to ensure they have registered to vote for Obama,”

Obama indeed uses a lot of technology in his campaign. In addition to the Internet and blogs, Obama also announced candidate Vice President Joe Biden via text messaging (SMS)
