For the first time, the small smart robots showcased by their manufacturer, Tomy Co. at Robo Japan 2008 event in Yokohama, 11 to 13 October 2008.
They’re not just toy robots, the 3.4 cm-sized robot called Robo-Q is claimed to be artificial intelligence since the Robo-Q is able to detect its surroundings with infra-red sensors that are embedded in it. Robo-Q also can play football each other using controller device.
Robo-Q is available in 4 colors and will begin commercial sale in Japan in February of the future. According to the tomy Co, To get one, the Robo-Q will cost you 3,500 yen. After Japan, Robo-Q will also approached the United States market and other Asian countries.
