Apple has Created an online iPhone 3G Purchasing system that will save your time ordering and picking up a new iPhone 3G Cell Phone

The system can completely handle new iPhone 3G individual purchases, new accounts for multiple handsets on an individual or Family Talk plans, or the addition of a 3G iPhone with an existing account. This can replace an existing cell phone or an extra line. You can also port on your GSM number, if you’d like to.

When everything is completed online, you can go to a specific store to pick up the iPhone 3G and activate it. Apple no longer sells unactivated cell phones, supposedly for the management of purchasing and customer service representatives to give her the chance to explain functions and set-up of the buyer’s new toy, but also because the number of iPhones that were unlocked and used on networks other than those with exclusive agreements with the company

at an investor conference Thursday, an AT&T official said that growth in the use of mobile Internet fell below the expectations of the carrier, despite the iPhone 3G made a huge success in sales.

According to a report by AlleyInsider, Donovan said AT & T expected the iPhone 3G will increase data consumption up to 5 times, but in actual fact the data usage only grows 3 times than before
