The Next iPhone Apps preview

by Mick on April 20, 2009

Apple is going to remove the shackles of the developers of applications for the iPhone.
While iPhone users have especially appreciated the constant flow of games, guides and other programs that have been previously published, many developers are frustrated about their inability to do more, such as allow user to buy digital content within the app.

Now the company says that it’s on the verge of releasing the new iPhone operating system – and the toolkit to support the development of new applications for the mobile phones.

So far, iPhone games mostly played for single player mode, although some  games allow players to interact via  Wi-Fi or cellular connection . With the new tools, game developers say that they are able to offer  a better social experience as multiplayer online games on your computer.

SonicMule recently released, a related iPhone music application called Leaf Trombone World Stage in which users are able to make a trombone-type instrument. For some developers, the new devices offer new opportunities for new health-related iPhone accessories. Even John Ulmer, the founder of Luminant Software, Sunnyvale, CA, the creator of the popular iPhone pedometer application, says he’s considering a wireless heart-rate monitor for use with his software.

For the first time, Apple is releasing the iPhone in the retail market without dealing with any telecommunications operator. The unlock version of iPhone began sold through the Apple Store online stores in Hong Kong.

However, Apple didn’t explain why they sell the flagship product without a commitment to subscribe, such as in dozens of other countries. There also no information whether such sales model will be applied to other countries soon.

Apple Store service in the U.S., UK, and Singapore until this moment not to make such direct sales. These sites only direct visitors to the web address that sell officially the results of cooperation with local operators.
