The Kindle 2 was supposedly Released in October, but the most recent rumors says that Amazon are preparing the launch of their eBook reader in early Q1 2009.

The Kindle 2 will have a sleeker, less angular casing than the previous Kindle, with new circular QWERTY keys, smaller page-turn controls and a joystick.
This version shares much of the previous features with an integrated EVDO cellular wireless for downloading ebooks right to the reader. While the storage will be expanded to about 1.5GB as the consequence, the SD slot will be removed.
