The Tomy i-SOBOT originally price at $ 300 when it was launched last year, but now if you’re looking for bargain for the 6.5-inch tall robot, you will be surprised for Hammacher Schlemmer now have it listed for only $ 99.95. You can bring home the robot with 17 points of articulation, 180 pre-programmed movements and voice control from ten different verbal prompts.

Up to 240 movements can be side by side, including speech, and then repeat. As an alternative the dual joystick remote allows to control the robot.

The i-SOBOT, using rechargeable NiMH battery that can power one hour play after six hours of battery charge with the the AA battery-powered remote has an integrated LCD to show the different modes: manual control, special actions, programmed sequences and voice command.

although they are not larger than thumbs, the smart robots which equipped with infra-red sensor can run very smoothly. Not just that, the super-small robots could play football too.

For the first time, the small smart robots showcased by their manufacturer, Tomy Co. at Robo Japan 2008 event in Yokohama, 11 to 13 October 2008.

They’re not just toy robots, the 3.4 cm-sized robot called Robo-Q is claimed to be artificial intelligence since the Robo-Q is able to detect its surroundings with infra-red sensors that are embedded in it. Robo-Q also can play football each other using controller device.

Robo-Q is available in 4 colors and will begin commercial sale in Japan in February of the future. According to the tomy Co, To get one, the Robo-Q will cost you 3,500 yen. After Japan, Robo-Q will also approached the United States market and other Asian countries.

Scuba Steve is a 18 cm robot that looks like a good kid. its round head and its charming Cyclops eye probably enough to drag your kids to the bath.

But when you read the description that comes with its package and discover that

“Scuba Steve is a shark hunting robot. His chief concern in life is causing humans and sharks to live in peace. If a shark won’t listen to reason, then Scuba Steve pulls their teeth out (but still lets the shark live.)”
