There is good news for Windows XP and Vista fans as I wrote earlier in this post, Microsoft Says that Windows XP Service Pack 3 will be published this week. I had the info from neowin who claimed to have internal schedule from Microsoft. Here is the list:
-
April 14, 2008: Assistance is available for the release version of Service Pack 3 for Windows XP
- April 21, 2008: Original Equipment Manufacturers, Volume License, Connect, and subscribers MSDN and TechNet.
- April 29, 2008: Microsoft Update, Windows Update, Download Center June 10, 2008: Automatic dates
This delay should give system administrators enough time to prepare for the upgrade or simply find an excuse for when things go wrong. For people too busy to worry about exercising their XP SP, which is currently being implemented, they may well ignore the automatic update scheduled to land on June 10.
