YouTube is one of the largest is a video sharing website together with metacafe, Break, and Google video. Video that appears generally can only be viewed through, not for downloading. The video files are packed in a flash video (FLV) format. Now, what if you want to download those videos in your hard drive so you can edit or just to watch them offline

If you search google, you’ll find out that there are tons of tools to download video from video sharing service. There also several methods you can try to get the videos, from browser plugins, applications, to special web pages dedicated to download videos from Youtube. But there’s no guarantee that they’re all working, since Youtube and similar video sharing websites constantly changing the way they stream the videos.

Next, enter the YouTube URL for the video, in this case copy paste ‘http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ryentN-MyLE’ in the box, click get video and wait while it’s being download, use VLC or another compatible player to view it. And you can watch Jazon Mraz concert on your desktop right away.

YoutubeHD

YoutubeHD

YouTube has long been anticipated to release high definition video playback, and they’re now starting to test out real HD quality videos, The new format could be a big jump for YouTube, as the video size is similar to H.264 encoded mp4 files in the iTunes Store which size is over 80MB.

The new playback looks clean and professional in the widescreen format (1280×720) and seems like real HD 720p video. Formerly YouTube’s high quality video maximum resolution was at 480×360, to do so, viewers must add “&fmt=18″ to the end of a YouTube video’s url. Now to watch the 720p video format the trick is similar to that, simply by adding “&fmt=22″ to the end of the video URL

Currently there’s no view full screen option to YouTube embed technology for HD videos, but you can toggle it on from the Google service’s hosted video page. While these videos will result in slower loading and will trigger problems getting the clip to display on older hardware, it requires powerful PCs for smooth playback.

Here’s examples of an HD embed video on YouTube from wired:
