ViewSonic in the near future will launch its new projector designed for wide screen notebooks. PJ359w 3LCD WXGA ultra-portable with HDMI 1.3 connectivity that supports HD signals up to 1080p projector is the first designed to be compatible with wide screen.

During the last six years, the popularity of notebook with a screen width ratio of 16:10 has significantly increased while demand for notebook with a 4:3 ratio to decline. In 2002, 100% business use notebook 4:3, but in three and a half years, 50% of the market switch to using wide screen notebook. Currently 95% of consumers use the notebook to work the big screen and 5% is estimated to regular notebook users will increasingly weaken in 2010.

PJ359w has a short distance lens that allows for large image projected in the distance in a small. In the distance is only 1.6 m, the image can be projected to a 50 inches screen, The projector has 2,200 lumens and 1280 × 800 WXGA resolution images to produce a detailed and clear in any lighting situation, while high-definition signal input HDMI 1.3 performance to ensure the best picture and supports HD signals up to 1080p.
