Laminar Research just went live with an iPhone version of its well regarded Flight Simulator X-Plane 9.
While the ‘mini’ version of X-Plane 9 is not as expansive as the PC version (it weighs in at 6.2MB, rather than X-Plane’s PC installer which ships on 6 dual-layer DVDs)you will have 4 different light aircraft to fly, and the power to control the weather and general flight circumstance.
instead of a having to rely on a joystick for flying , the X-plane 9 uses the accelerometer (the iPhone essentially becomes a flight yoke) and some on-screen buttons within the in-game HUD.
